ZOIDS WILD ARENA is a turn-based blockchain TCG akin to Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering featuring the ZOIDS IP. ZOIDS is an immensely popular Japanese science fiction media franchise created by TOMY, featuring large mechanical creatures including dinosaurs, insects, and mythological creatures.
The game features two types of cards: Units and Tactics. Units feature the mechanical creatures, while Tactics allow players to flip the momentum of the game in an instant.
The game is meant to be casual enough to attract players that are not necessarily familiar with TCG, while providing enough depth and strategy to win over TCG enthusiasts.
The blockchain aspect finally allows us to provide the type of TCG experience you normally associate with offline, on-site tournaments, where players will bring their own deck of cards to compete against other players.
Each player enters the game with a deck of 30 cards. Each player starts with 3 cards from the deck, drawing a new card on each turn. The Battle continues until one player’s HP reaches 0. Each card is assigned a Energy cost and can only be used within the Energy limit per hand. Available Energy per turn starts at 1 and goes all the way up to 10, adding 1 per each turn. Same basic set of rules as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Hearthstone, and Magic the Gathering.
The addition of the core system includes unit turns are conducted automatically. All cards can be upgraded up to 6 stars. Each card has its own unique stats regardless of the unit or tactic. (ex. Same Unit, same star, different stats). Elo Rating used to calculate the player tier, with the reward being distributed accordingly.
There are 560 types of Unit and Tactics cards available at launch. Also, Seasonal Limited Edition Cards currently in plan.
ZOIDS WILD ARENA has a seasonal ranking system. Rankings are calculated by the points a user earns in Ranked Matches, and are reset when the season changes. The higher the ranking, greater the rewards. To receive these rewards, including access to the NFT Marketplace, you must have a wallet linked to your account.
